Welcome to my page!
My name is Nina and I was born and raised in Munich. I moved to Liverpool in September 2014 to study music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where I graduated in 2018, followed by a Masters in Music Industry Studies at the University of Liverpool, where I graduated in 2019.
I started teaching German during my studies and have found it to be a very fulfilling and fun activity. I have learned French, Latin and English myself, therefore have a lot of experience with learning and teaching languages. I have been working as a German tutor for many years now and I really enjoy making learning a language a fun enterprise.
My approach to teaching is to make it work for you. I will adapt my teaching style to your needs and interests. I have a lot of teaching material, I am happy to share, as well as a long list of German books, films, and music to give you even more things to engage with. I will also always give a little bit of homework to keep the things we had learned fresh in your mind throughout the week.
Availability: I am available Monday 16:30-18:30, Tuesday 18:30-19:30, Thursday 10-17.00. Friday 10:00-12:00 + 13:00-17:00. I can be available on weekends. We can always chat about finding another time that fits us both for the lesson, don`t hesitate to get in touch :)

Experience: Since German is my first language I feel very comfortable explaining the difficulties of the German grammar and make learning the language fun. I enjoy combining music and learning a lot, since I am a full time musician, for example learning German songs to make the language more approachable.
I am also fluent in French, as I used to go there a lot as a child and had French classes in school which I finished with a DELF C1, which is equal to a native speaker. Learning French, as well as English and Latin gave me an understanding of how a language is built and what ways exist to provide understanding for complicated grammatical structures.

Nina is a fantastic teacher. She is very friendly and relaxed. Her grammatical knowledge is outstanding, if there is anything that you need to learn or go over she will be able to cover it. She is sensitive to the pace of the learner and will tailor the lessons to your needs. I am very glad that I was able to find Nina as a tutor. She really is very intelligent and passionate about languages.

Nina is a fantastic tutor. My confidence speaking German and my knowledge of the language have improved massively. She explains things clearly and creates a welcoming environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes. I love that she offers homework but is also very flexible if I don`t have time to complete it that week. I`d highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn or improve upon their German!

Nina is very good at teaching you new ideas and grammatical concepts that you weren`t even aware you were missing. She is very patient when you make mistakes and I believe I have made progress since I began meeting with her.

Really effective tuition. I picked up on a lot of difficult German grammar concepts very quickly with Nina`s help, as well as getting a really helpful amount of conversation practice. The lessons go above and beyond just the academic study of German and explore the nuances of both the language and culture.

Nina is very good, she works at your pace and makes lessons fun. She is polite and friendly, making her approachable. And between lessons she gives you some homework so you feel as though your still progressing between lessons too.

Nina is a fantastic tutor and really gives you confidence to learn. As a native speaker she is excellent at providing thorough explanations of the German language, taking the time to explain the nuances of such a complex language.
