I am a fully qualified teacher of Philosophy and Religious Studies at A-level, IB and GCSE, as well as a former marker for AQA. I have seven years of classroom teaching experience, and four years experience of providing one-to-one tuition.

I offer private tuition in all areas of Philosophy and Religious Studies to GCSE and A-Level (all major exam boards) or International Baccalaureate standard.

I can also offer help with Theory of Knowledge and Philosophy Extended Essays (IB).

I have an enhanced disclosure DBS check and have full Qualified Teacher Status, which means that I am eligible to work in all schools in the UK.

In our sessions, I will focus on both your understanding of the course content and essay-writing technique, as appropriate to your needs. This will usually involve discussion focused around issues you have explored in lessons and from the syllabus, note-taking, essay planning and essay writing and critique.

I have access to text books and other resources that are relevant to all levels of learning, and may use these to support tutoring sessions where appropriate.

I work in both Kent and London.

Please note that I may require additional travel expenses for tutoring more than five miles from my home location, but this is something we can discuss.

Experience: I have worked for seven years as a qualified secondary school teacher. I have experience of teaching in two Grammar schools and one comprehensive school.

I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), which means I am fully qualified to teach in schools in the UK. I am familiar with a wide range of teaching pedagogy.

I have extensive experience of working with students in a private tuition context, and can provide references if required.
