I am a teaching assistant at Chigwell School (Independent).
I support maths and English from years 3 to 9. ( key stage 2 and 3)
I have also supported GCSE classes, running a lunchtime clinic for struggling students.

I have a passion for teaching (particularly maths) and a skill for helping a child reach their full potential. In addition to my lessons being well planned and interactive, I am patient and nurturing which works well in boosting a child`s confidence.

I do not charge for my first lesson, which I use to assess the child and work out their requirements.

I have first hand knowledge and experience of Sats, entrance exams, 7+ and the 11+.
My 3 children attended a private school for their primary education and then went on to a grammar school for their secondary education. Both my boys are currently studying at UCL - one in medicine and the other a maths degree. My daughter is currently doing her GCSEs.

Availability: Afternoon/Evening 3.30 to 8.30
Saturday morning 9.30 to 12.30

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Bsc Hons Computer Science.
Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.

I have been a teaching assistant for 10 years.
I specialise in withdrawing children from the class and teaching the lesson in parallel. I also run support groups and one to one sessions at lunch time for children who are struggling.
