Information about Andrea
I am a passionate mathematician qualified up to degree level. I have worked as an IT project and programme and continuous improvement manager across the past 29 years using my maths skills in real life application. 4 years ago, I made a decision to change career and take up tutoring for Mathematics for all levels up to A-level after doing it for friends, relatives and other contacts over the previous 10 years. I want to make maths relevant and interesting to my pupils and I base my teaching style around the learning preferences i see during my lessons. I spice up the lessons with fun challenges and games for the younger age groups, to keep my pupils learning and to improve their confidence to try more and more challeging problems.
For my older pupils, i offer practical help to build confidence, to understand all the required topics thoroughly give them lots of practice examples to work through and I teach them to be able to spot topics and answer exam style questions at all levels of difficulty.
Availability: I am currently fully booked for the rest of this academic year.

Experience: I have been using my maths skills throughout my career in the it industry and, having done a lot of informal teaching prior to 2018 for family, friends and other contacts, with a good deal of success and positive feedback; i decided to take it up professionally.

Andrea is patient and explains the GCSE maths concepts to my son in a way that he can grasp quickly.
