Information about Daniele
Qualified modern foreign languages teacher in secondary school and teaching in an adult education college. Having grown up in an Italian family and business environment, my life has revolved around languages since childhood. I graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Hospitality Management with Spanish, and have lived in both Italy and Spain. I owned businesses in Spain and London, before realising that I wanted to share my passion for learning languages with others. So if you are thinking of moving to Spain and to open a business there, I can help with that too, saving you a lot of expense and costly mistakes.
Availability: Weekends / Weekdays (all times)
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: A fully qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and graduate of Spanish with a PGCE modern foreign languages. I now teach Spanish from beginners up to A-level and can teach Italian up to GCSE. Upon delivering a course in Italian for your holidays to a small group of adults, I realised that I wanted to have more face-to-face interaction with students, which brought me to setting up as a private languages tutor and teaching adult education too.
I like to make my lessons engaging and fun, so that students can enjoy learning. I use my cultural and business knowledge to engage and enthuse students, addressing common misconceptions, and am able to answer language specific questions, modelling excellent standards of written and spoken language and encouraging students to do this too. I`ve created schemes of work and my teaching has achieved excellent results in tests and exams. I focus upon speaking the language primarily but ensure that reading, writing and listening skills are covered in each lesson where possible, with a strong focus on grammar. I have also set up and overseen an after-school extra-curricular modern languages club for struggling SEN students.
