I started my education at a state comprehensive school and I worked hard to achieve 7A*’s at GCSE level and 3A’s at A level including Physics and Maths. I then studied for 4 years at the University of Southampton for an undergraduate masters degree, where I achieved a high first class classification. I stayed at the University of Southampton to complete my PhD in optoelectronics with the Optoelectronic Research Centre. I worked with a small team on a laser based imaging project.

Recently I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Physics and Maths, achieving qualified teacher status (QTS), and my teaching practice was marked as "outstanding". I have taught Physics to A Level and science to GCSE level. I have experience in tutoring science and Maths to GCSE as well as Physics to A level. I now currently work as a govenment research scientist.

I am an approachable teacher and really enjoy trying to explain often difficult concepts using a variety of techniques. I have a wealth of experience teaching young people previously coached ski racing and tennis.
