Information about David

Currently Located in London and working as a researcher for Tel Aviv University, I am an experienced teacher of philosophy. I have taught modules on the philosophy of mind, epistemology, the philosophy of medicine, metaphysics, and the history of philosophy. I am adept at providing group and on-to-one tutoring.

Availability: Given the flexibility of my research work, I am available almost any time for tutoring.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I am currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Tel Aviv University. I have recently returned to the UK to complete my research and to further my academic and teaching career. I was awarded my PhD in Philosophy from King’s College London in January 2019. I was supervised by Professor Matthew Soteriou and Professor Bill Brewer and examined by Professor Jennifer Hornsby and Dr Conor McHugh. Before that I completed a BA (first class) and MA (distinction) in Philosophy at the University of Leeds.

I have always received excellent feedback from students and from teaching observations. In 2018 I was awarded one of King`s College London’s Graduate Teaching Assistant Awards, for which I was nominated by my students. I was also a tutor in philosophy at the University of Leeds. In addition, I spent a year as a teaching assistant in Philosophy and Religious Studies at Cumberland School in Newham and was a conversational English teacher at the Refugee Integration and Employment Service in Leeds. I am thus experienced at teaching students with diverse needs and backgrounds.

My publications include `The Role of Judgment in Doxastic Agency’ (Thought, 2018), ‘Reasoning’s Relation to Bodily Action’ (Ratio, 2020), and ‘Luminosity in the Stream of Consciousness’ (Synthese, forthcoming).
