I am a fully qualified teacher with nine years of experience teaching French and German in British secondary schools who is currently working as a French/German > English freelance translator.

I have also been employed by a major examining board as a GCSE German examiner/moderator for the past 15 summers approximately, which provides me with an incredibly useful insight into the world of teaching and learning.

My mother-tongue is British English.

Availability: I can usually be flexible: weekday evenings, some weekday afternoons, some weekends if required.

Experience: As well as my nine years of experience teaching languages in secondary schools, I have delivered private French and German tuition to adults at various points in the past (most recently for a colleague relocating to Germany) and have some additional experience of 1-to-1 tuition in schools.

My work as a translator ensures that my language skills are continually being challenged and updated.
