Information about Emma
I am a qualified primary school teacher with almost sixteen years teaching experience at a large Junior school in West London. During my time at the school I taught classes in all year groups, from Year 3 to Year 6. I worked with pupils of varying abilities, including those with English as an additional language and pupils with Special Educational Needs. I have over five years experience of tutoring, I strongly believe that confidence and self-esteem hold the keys to on going success and I work hard to ensure that students` core skills are fully developed, thus enabling them to reach their full potential.
I will use a range of strategies to support your child’s learning and the sessions will be engaging and personalised to suit the needs of your child.
I am able to teach all subjects across the Primary age phase and I can prepare pupils for the Year 6 SATs. I have also successfully prepared pupils for the 11+, providing intensive coaching in verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and the 11+ English and Maths papers, as appropriate.
I am happy to set homework as required.
Availability: Daytimes, evenings and weekends

It was a long time ago, but Emma was a great tutor. Our son really liked her, and considering his Aspergers she did a great job getting through to him.

Emma has been tutoring our son for around a year now, primarily for self confidence. He was really unsure about having a tutor, but Emma really put him at ease. She’s patient and explains things really well. My sons confidence at school and with homework grew as result of his time with Emma. We decided to carry on tutoring for the 11+ for which he passed with a really good score. We are so happy with Emma that she is continuing to work with him for his year 6 SATs I would highly recommend her to anyone considering a tutor for their child.

Sorry but we also had to give up with Emma - she was poorly and unable to commit to the tutoring we needed . A pity as she seemed very good. Have since found another tutor outwith Tutorhunt as my experience had been poor to be honest

Emma is great, she is friendly, professional, punctual, very organised with lesson plans and flexible with tutoring sessions during holiday periods. We have always been kept up to date with our son’s progress and been briefed on what has been covered in each session. I would not hesitate to recommend Emma as tutor.
