Hello! I`m Anthony, a friendly and approachable master`s graduate in Maths & Stats with a strong passion for my subject, and two years` worth of tutoring experience. Having experienced the trials and tribulations of mathematical education, I can easily relate to many problems that you may also have encountered during your studies: I`d love to help out!

So, what makes me qualified? I hold a four-year Integrated Master`s degree in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Warwick (a top ten university), I have six A-Levels including A*s in Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and even opted to study all eighteen modules for the Additional Further Mathematics A-Level (so I can tutor pure maths, mechanics, statistics, and decision maths). Only around fifty students across the UK take all eighteen modules and all three maths A-Levels every year, so there aren`t many people at all who have studied as much maths as I have done at school!

Such is my passion that I have also spent time volunteering in Africa as a secondary school maths teacher, where I planned fun and engaging lessons for the students by creating innovative ideas for maths games and activities, which the teachers happily adopted in their lessons after I left. I increased the average mark in multiple classes by over 20% in just seven weeks.

During my final year at school, I also volunteered to help out in maths lessons for younger students and used my experience to explain topics in multiple ways rather than just following the textbook, and these new explanations would lead to students having their "Eureka!" moment, which is what I love about tutoring!

I aim to make lessons fun, explanations intuitive, and examples illuminating while being approachable and always open to questions. I would never want my students to feel scared of asking questions; I`ve been in your situation before and know the value of having someone to turn to no matter what difficulties you`re experiencing.

By engaging students in the bigger picture of the mathematical tools they encounter, rather than just trying to memorise methods parrot fashion, I aim to make a long-term difference to their understanding of the subject, which will stand them in good stead for their exams both near and far.
