I have been teaching and tutoring for over 25 years now and I specialise in teaching Maths and English to primary and early secondary school children(Yr 7, 8 and9). I have also helped many students with the preparation to their SATs exams and 11+ exams (Tiffin and other grammar and independent schools).

I am a fully qualified teacher currently working in an outstanding secondary school in Richmond borough. In the school I am based at I mainly teach English, however, I have also been teaching Maths to Yr 7, 8 and 9 pupils for a few years now. The Maths teaching is another passion of mine and I love it as much as teaching English.

A lot of the students I taught over the years used to struggle with either English or Maths before we met, however after attending my intervention classes in school or after having done tuition with me they have managed to move up to higher sets or successfully passed their school exams.

In the past I used to work in primary schools too as an intervention teacher (teaching small groups of students who struggled with some elements of the English or Maths curriculum) and an EAL teacher (supporting students who came from abroad and did not know English well). For this reason, I am equally familiar with the requirements of both primary and secondary curriculum in English and Maths, especially at KS2 and KS3 level. This, I think, makes me very unique and versatile.

I have travelled extensively and lived and taught English abroad in many countries all over the world. During that time I also gained qualifications and experience in teaching English as a foreign language to children, teenagers and adults. I have a prestigious DELTA diploma in TEFL from Cambridge University.

IGCSE English as a Second Language Cambridge University accredited examiner and teacher.

TEFL qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (children, teenagers and adults). Director of Studies at Summer English language courses.
