Experience: I have a thorough knowledge of my subject but my particular area of expertise is exam technique. Most of my students achieve excellent grades and I have successfully helped students to secure scholarships at some of the most prestigious independent schools in London, such as Westminster and Harrow. I am intimately acquainted with some of the quirks of the scholarship exam system and know what is required to confidently sit those exams.

Generally, I find that the method of teasing out information and knowledge rather than ‘speaking at’ students works best, as it helps to encourage students to think critically and independently. This approach, almost always, ensures high results as it shows examiners that you have read, understood and engaged with the text in a critical and personal manner.

I feel my strengths lie in adapting lessons to meet the specific needs of students to help them achieve great results.
