Married with two grown up children and granddaughters. Restoring an old house and garden.
Retired from school.
Previous life: Led three International School Projects which gave me the opportunity to travel and teach in European schools. Have written and led Cultural Evenings to celebrate languages & cultures.
Have published Communication and its Languages - a celebration of language acquisition as part of the Projects and my Masters and written articles re the teaching of written English for primary.
Enjoy cooking, history, biographies, art (second subject) and am an animal lover. Used to breed and show gundogs. Three pet dogs (1 re-homed), chickens and 2 rabbits ( supposedly the grandchildren’s)
Chaired Fund Raising for Charity supporting local charities. Wide range of interests and friends. That about sums me up!

Stephen is an extraordinary tutor who, through his vast experience and love of Arts and English, is recapturing my childs love of learning. He is supportive, encouraging and instinctively knows how to pitch the work so it provides the right level of challenge. Stephen has been really good, my daughter has found his support really helpful. Stephen has dealt with the chaos of my family really well, he is very friendly and knows his subject very well. My daughter is dyslexic and this has given her confidence.

Stephen is simply amazing! My son has had 3 sessions with him so far and his confidence has soared!
