Information about Sakeena

My name is Sakeena and I have just completed an MSc in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research at King`s College London. I am currently working as a private tutor, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Having been tutored myself during high school, I can appreciate that the one to one interaction is extremely beneficial to students, allowing them to fully take in and apply the knowledge being imparted, in their own time. This improves their confidence and subsequently their performance in exams. Hence, as a tutor, I hope to be able to provide a comfortable learning environment for my students by making challenging concepts easier to understand.

My tutoring experience includes working as a teaching assistant at a supplementary school while I was completing my A Levels. This involved supporting students during Arabic and Maths classes. I have also worked as a private tutor for the past 4 years, teaching GCSE Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I also have some experience teaching primary and GCSE level Arabic.

As a tutor, I will do my very best to ensure my students understand and take in the content of their course, equipping them with the tools needed to achieve their best. This includes tips on how to make the most of their revision through the use of exam questions, as well as valuable exam techniques. I will be very patient, adapting my teaching method to suit the student`s pace. I am also willing to try as many different ways as it takes to help the student understand a concept and really engage with the material. I believe this method will boost a student`s enthusiasm and genuine interest in their revision, leading to improved outcomes at the end of the course. In general, I am friendly and caring towards my students, as I am also familiar with the incredible stress of revision and exams in the face of difficult concepts and materials, having just completed my MSc.
