I was born and grew up in France. French is therefore my first language. As a young person, I had a very big interest in languages, and I studied English, German, Italian, and even tried Russian and Arabic! English became a real passion as I studied it at university level. This brought me to England 29 years ago as I came to live here, so I am not just fluent in French but in English too. I am married and we have 2 children aged 23 and 18, and we live in Toddington, Bedfordshire.

My background for the last 9 years is working as a teaching assistant in a primary school in Leagrave Luton, supporting the class teacher, but also as the EAL / EFL (English as an Additional / Foreign Language) Co-ordinator, teaching English to children from various countries around the world new to England and to the English language. I am in the process of studying for a TEFL Course Level 5 (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

While living in France, I worked for Linguaphone as an English Tutor, teaching English to adult Professionals in a learning Centre environment. My role was to organise my own teaching sessions and to offer an English experience to groups of adults of different levels.

While our own children were younger, my husband and I became Approved Foster Carers for Bedford Council for a total of 5 years and we had the privilege of fostering 9 very young children. A real challenge at times but an amazingly rewarding experience too.

I would like to say that I am good and patient with children, but I am equally able to work well alongside young people and adults.

I can offer great support academically with French and English to any age group. I have 5 years of tutoring with Tutor Hunt under my belt, and have done so with many students of various ages and levels. So ....
