I am a very experienced Science teacher and tutor. Student and parent feedback is excellent making reference to the bespoke sessions I prepare for each student and the care I show for the student. Results also receive praise, in 2022 all Triple Science students achieved level 8or 9. Those studying Combined received at least 1 level above predicted grade.Most of my students now come from referrals. I have supported many students who are very positive about their sessions. We work together to make the sessions bespoke giving maximum impact to achievement. I work closely with parents and the feedback is extremely positive.
My career also includes 10 years experience of working with young people who have mental health difficulties. I believe all this experience adds to supporting my students to achieve their potential
My style of teaching targets the learning style of the young person and I encourage them to be active in their learning. My job satisfaction comes from seeing young people gain confidence in their ability and feel positive increasing their self esteem and self confidence. This in turn has correlated to improvement in grades.

Experience: I have been teaching since1985.
From 1996 I successfully taught all 3 Sciences at KS3 & KS4 in a Trafford main stream school where I was also Head of year.
In 2009 I moved to work for Bury Children’s Services where I taught GCSE Science including the latest 9-1 Combined and Single Sciences as well as GCSE Maths up to level 5.
