Hi there,

I`m a postgraduate History student based in Cambridgeshire. My primary research interests are in interwar European history and post-1945 Middle Eastern history.

I`m looking to tutor GCSE and A Level students in History, English, Politics, Philosophy and Sociology.

Throughout my time at university I have been involved in a variety of initiatives that have involved supporting other students either with pastoral concerns or providing academic guidance for them.

I am especially interested in working with students, both adults and children, who are themselves from marginalised backgrounds. During my time at university I predominantly focused on supporting fellow students who came to higher education without qualifications such as A Levels and therefore may have more with formal academia.

As a tutor, I encourage students to direct the course of the work we undertake together. I believe passionately in encouraging students to pursue those subjects that inspire them most, in challenging and critically assessing their course material and empowering students to have confidence in their own arguments and understanding of a subject.

Availability: I am usually available most weekdays from 10AM until 6PM unless specified on my availability on Tutor Hunt. However, I am sometimes required to cover for my day job during the week. When booking I required at least 3 days notice prior to our first session. When getting in touch for the first time please tell me which topics you require the most help with for your given subject and if possible send me some samples of your work prior to our first session.
