I am a specialist in Criminology with my examiner being Tim Newburn for my Doctorate at the LSE. Prior to this I worked in substance misuse , criminal justice, homelessness, and mental health services for 30 years. I have 4 clinical psychology books focusing on Criminology published around the world and some of them used on the taught courses. In my dissertations support students achieve consistent high grades around high 2/1 or 1st for the work they have undertaken. As part of my work I also build confidence and self esteem to empower students to take control over their studying, allowing them to transmit this within their everyday lives.

Within early years I have worked with students who have undertaken child observations drawing from Winnicott, Fairburn, Bion, Bowlby, Ainsworth, Spitz, Bawkin and Mahler to think about how the child emerges into the world. These observations have consistently received high marks. I have also worked with play therapists doing their courses and each has passed with a 2/1 at undergraduate level. I previously studied early child development whilst working at the Bowlby Centre and have considerable expertise drawing from Erikson and Gilligan to reflect on child dynamics.
