I am a specialist in Criminology with my examiner being Tim Newburn for my Doctorate at the LSE. Prior to this I worked in substance misuse , criminal justice, homelessness, and mental health services for 30 years. I have 4 clinical psychology books focusing on Criminology published around the world and some of them used on the taught courses. In my dissertations support students achieve consistent high grades around high 2/1 or 1st for the work they have undertaken. As part of my work I also build confidence and self esteem to empower students to take control over their studying, allowing them to transmit this within their everyday lives. Within early years I have worked with students who have undertaken child observations drawing from Winnicott, Fairburn, Bion, Bowlby, Ainsworth, Spitz, Bawkin and Mahler to think about how the child emerges into the world. These observations have consistently received high marks. I have also worked with play therapists doing their courses and each has passed with a 2/1 at undergraduate level. I previously studied early child development whilst working at the Bowlby Centre and have considerable expertise drawing from Erikson and Gilligan to reflect on child dynamics. Information about Dean

I trained as a psychotherapist and worked for 30 years with addiction, well being and recovery and then became a tutor. I have worked with over 90 students achieving 2/1`s and 1sts at Imperial, Kings, LSE, UCL, City, Goldsmiths, Regents, Queen Mary, Royal Holloway; as my focus is on scaffolding their confidence.

I offer excellence at Doctorate, Masters and Undergraduate level. Therefore, when students come to me I offer them a complete service in order to build their potential.

Therapeutically trained I can work around anxiety, depression, trepidation and low self esteem. I am used to working with students from North Africa, Middle East, Russia and China for example and so understand some of the challenges around the cultural issues students face.

In terms of myself I worked as a CEO in the wider world as well as being an academic. My published doctorate became a clinical psychology book focusing on violence with

My books deal with film studies, politics, sociology, psychology, social policy, criminology along with art and culture. Prior to this I was a CEO of a Hep C/HIV agency, developed the arrest referral, set up the first BAME therapeutic services, GP shared care, first women`s substance use services, and a whole variety of innovations.

Overall I undertook work over 30 years with marginalised people and this led to the publication of four books and numerous articles where I also gained an insight into international development and politics which were incorporated into the publications.
