Hi, I’m Frederic, a native French tutor with over 20 years’ experience living and working in the UK, now teaching online from different parts of Europe. I possess a strong experience at all levels (all key stages including GCSE, A-level, school entry examinations, as well as adults, from beginners to confirmed speakers). Nearly all my students achieve A / A* (8-9).
I have often taught pupils throughout their secondary school cycle and have worked mainly from word of mouth recommendations.

I am naturally friendly, bringing warmth, patience and creativity to my relationships with my students, with whom I connect well. My approach is to show positive encouragement and support my students to feel empowered in their learning. I endeavour to make learning enjoyable and rewarding by using engaging content, creating tailored, flexible programs, setting clear, manageable goals to help my students track their progress - and bringing humour too because a relaxed brain learns better!

Capitalising on my coaching and teaching skills, I can also help my students get to the bottom of most common learning challenges that can arise and change their relationship to school work to be more proactive and efficient.

- I studied Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) in France as part of my modern languages degree.
- I have worked in various industries in the UK (English-only and bilingual environments) before establishing myself as a full-time freelance tutor and teacher in 2015.
- I completed the Co-Active Training Institute’s professional coaching training programme in 2018, which helps me support my students in taking a more responsible approach in their learning.
- I am also a freelance composer and photographer.
