I am a graduate of Central St Martins Fine Art BA (hons) course.
Since graduating I work as a full time artist and sometime curator and regularly exhibit my work.
I am have 3 children and until recently, was an Arts Volunteer & Workshop Facilitator for Kids Company in Brixton where I worked with vulnerable children from the local area. I currently have regular trustees and run weekly workshops at a local state school
I have extensive experience teaching art to children and teenagers and I am passionate about inspiring young people to find out what interests them and to develop an understanding into what sort of artwork they would like to make (and to help them to realise this work)
I have experience in assisting students with GCSE and ALevel coursework, building upon contextual ideas for exam pieces and preparation for University/Art school admission procedure (inc. portfolio preparation for Art Foundation and BA courses and giving advice on what course to apply to).
I have a good knowledge of contemporary artists and the London art scene which I put to good use when recommending exhibitions or the work of artist that I feel would be useful for a student to see or refer to.
I have previous career experience in propmaking for television and within television production. I also hold a qualification in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design and completed a 1 year Foundation in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths College
I really enjoy working with children and young people, generally have a good and relaxed rapport with them and love sharing a joke!
