I am a biology and chemistry tutor with six years tutoring experience. I hold a PhD in Biochemistry from Royal Holloway, University of London. I also completed my Masters (Distinction) and Bsc (2:1) here too.
I specise in tutoring GCSE and A-Level biology and chemistry and have resources in most examination boards such as: OCR A&B, AQA, Edexcel and WJEC. During my doctorate I was a Brilliant Club tutor, in which I delivered university style tutorials to secondary schools on a weekly basis. I also mentored BSc project students and MSc students and have a wide range of experience of tutoring styles and techniques. I am happy to teach all abilities, from those that are struggling within the classroom to others that need tweaking in exam techniques. I believe that it is imperative to be patient as a teacher and for students to actually enjoy and be confident in their subjects so that they can reach their full potential.
Currently, I am a strategy consultant that works with Ft500 companies to develop powerful learning experiences that change mindset, gn teams and build capabilities.

Thoma is like a daughter in the family. She started teaching our son in 2015 in Chemistry GCSE to ensure he got the grade ready for A level in 6th form. We had 2 other teachers before Thoma but both fell by the wayside very quickly as my son just could not get on with them. Thoma rescuded the situation and was like a older sister to him and her style of teaching was just what he needed. we wish we had chosen her first and cannot understand why we did not. Needless to say she carried on through the next 2 A level years and he managed to get the grade he required to go to a top RGroup University (Nottingham). She is such a telented young lady and our family cannot recommend her high enough. Would be real proud of her if she was our daughter. You will not be dissapointed.

Update - Thoma tutored my son for GCSE Additional Science (focusing on biology & chemistry) - he achieved A* (with 100% in both papers). Highly recommended.
