I am a Personal Tutor of English and Maths.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I began to tutor online, using zoom. Surprisingly, I realised it was a much more efficient, interactive and engaging way of teaching so I now only use this method.
For each pupil, I have individualised lessons ready in folders on my desk top.
I send homework via email.

I tutor from year 3 to year 6 or years 7 and 8 for pupils needing to catch up.

Also, I prepare children for Eleven Plus Tests/Entrance Examinations and Interview Technique or just help them to raise their current levels and confidence.

I am available during most holidays/evenings and Saturdays for exam (or general) revision / KS3 `catch up` / to enhance Numerical and Reasoning maths skills/ Writing/Grammar/Spelling and Comprehension skills.

My aim is to make all my pupils of all ages and abilities feel confident, happy, challenged and supported so they are keen to come to sessions and work with me towards improving their levels and to reach their targets.
I love tutoring and working with children on a one-to-one basis which, unfortunately, is not often possible to do in a class situation.

Availability: Monday to Thursday after school until 8:30 pm

Experience: I have over 25 years of teaching experience and have taught children throughout Key Stage 1 and 2.
I am currently working in Years 3-6 in a school graded as `outstanding` in a recent OFSTED inspection.
I am used to preparing children for KS2 SATs and know exactly, the standards needed to help them attain the levels they are aiming for.
During the lead up to Sats at school, I take groups of children to teach them how to achieve ‘greater depth’ ( higher level) in Maths and English.

I am also experienced in tutoring for Essex 11+ and entrance exams for those children wanting to get into grammar or selective schools.
