Hi all!

I am a medical doctor by profession, who is currently on maternity leave. I am venturing into the world of tutoring primarily because I enjoy teaching and have an enthusiasm for cultivating an interest in lifelong learning for pupils!

I take great satisfaction in helping a student grasp a concept or idea they may have previously had difficulty with.

I don`t incorporate a `one-size fits all` approach to learning. Any methodologies or techniques used to teach are tailored to the student I am working with. Working with the student to identify the most effective methods for learning, means we are better able to facilitate understanding.

I feel it`s important for a student to feel comfortable enough to go at their own pace. I encourage students to ask questions and to offer their own ideas. Being able to engage students in their own learning is a reward in itself.

Experience: Teaching medical students within the hospital setting. Delivering teaching sessions to fellow colleagues.

Currently doing 1:1 tutoring sessions for KS3. I have also informally tutored family members through their GCSEs.
