Information about Winston
I am a F2 doctor who has a passion for learning and teaching. I am keen to inspire students to reach their full potential to achieve a career which provides them both satisfaction and fulfilment. There is nothing better than seeing a happy face through achieving success by hard work and determination!
I really try to grasp my students understanding and motivation of the subject as a whole. I think these two concepts are fundamental to one another. I want to give students the confidence in their ability and encourage them to be curious and ask questions. Teaching should be a dynamic process, where the student is fully engaged - drawing, demonstrating, conversing, debating - not a passive one where I bore my students into submission with heavy monologues!
Availability: Evenings (from 5pm) and Weekends
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: My profession requires me to teach, both formally and informally. Patients come from all backgrounds, ages and educational levels. It is therefore a skill that I have had to learn, to be able to understand who I am teaching and cater my teaching to that individual.
In the formal setting, I have tutored individuals, classes and taken lectures. I also tutor my wonderful little sister who is taking her GCSEs!
