PLEASE NOTE: MY TIMETABLE IS FULL FOR EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS. I HAVE SPACE DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS.
I am a GCSE examiner for the AQA exam board, meaning I have a wealth of expertise at my fingertips.
I am an experienced, enthusiastic English teacher. I have over 15 years` experience teaching English & English Literature and am confident I can help students progress and fulfil their potential.
I am an expert at providing a well-rounded English curriculum for home-schooled students.
My strengths lie in my personable, engaging teaching style and my ability to differentiate successfully for all levels.
I tailor all of my teaching materials for each child, allowing for exceptional progress in a limited period of time. I work with both parents and students to ensure we make rapid progress, and lessons are fun and engaging. I also work with primary aged children, preparing them for entrance exams or the transition to secondary school.
Availability: I am only offering virtual sessions at the moment.
I only availability during the school day: Tuesday & Friday.
This works well for students currently being homeschooled, sixth form A Level or retakes, or those studying the curriculum from abroad.
I also have availability during the school holidays for catch-up/booster sessions.

Experience: I have previously been an English teacher in Secondary Schools for 15 years. I have vast experience in coaching pupils through AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, OCR and IGCSE exams.
I teach A Level English Literature and have an excellent success rate for pupils at this level.
I am currently a GCSE Examiner for the AQA exam board, and have worked previously for 5 years as an Examiner for WJEC, all within English Language & Literature at GCSE level.
In my role as Head of Year, I was in charge of accelerating KS3 English progress across the cohort, and as such have an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum at this level.
I have worked with many primary students, helping them progress with their writing and grammar skills. I have successfully supported a number of students in passing school entrance exams, in both the public and private sector.

Jennifer is simply outstanding. In the three lessons my son has had so far shes shot to best tutor Ive ever had status. She totally understands what I dont know and if I had teachers like her I wouldnt need a tutor. Cant praise her enough. Smart, direct, robust and thorough.
