Information about Chad
I am Biomedical Sciences graduate (BSc, 2:1), from Lancaster University (rank #6 UK). I have a full DBS check.
Having attained grade A at A level biology, I decided to pursue a degree in a life science. My undergraduate studies focused heavily on biology, much of which was a more in-depth advancement on a level biology.
I am highly competent to teach all aspects of GCSE and A level biology, and GCSE and KS3 chemistry and physics. I focus not only on the course material itself, but can help teach students effective study skills to make self-study more efficient in the future.
Having sat the same exams myself, I like to also focus on specific exam techniques such as timed essay writing and proper use of scientific language. This is crucial in attaining higher overall grades in a subject.
Availability: Very flexible - please feel free to contact me and I will accommodate any student to the best of my ability
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring science for the past 3 years
I have tutored KS3 and GCSE Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Biology, and also A Level Biology. I also have extensive experience in preparing students for the 13+ entrance exam.
I have a number of regular tutees, including some with learning difficulties.
Many of the parents of these tutees have been very happy with my ability to get their children interested in the sciences, and to increase their confidence in them. I believe this is of vital importance to acquire the full attention of my students and improve their grades.
I have a number of students who have improved their grades from low grades; with one student boosting their science grades from D-E to A-B.
I try to build a great rapport with my students and make lessons as interesting and useful as possible. As a result, many parents have told me that they want to other tutor for their children in the future.
