Information about Doha
I am an experianced tutor, having taught a variety of subjects including Psychology, Sociology, Math and English to students from primary levels to A levels.
I have helped my GCSE and Alevel students achieve their target grades of A & A*, when they have been predicted C or B. My last student achieved an A* in English Literature and Language in his iGCSE after believing English to be his weakest subject.
I typically work with students on a one to one basis as I believe it is more advantageous for the student, as it allows them to be the sole focus of the tutor and therefore the lessons can be planned according to their particular needs and pace.
Availability: I am available on weekdays, weekends and holidays, I have a flexible schedule and can fit to your timings.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I am most experienced in teaching primary to A level students (KS2 to KS5).
I have found that my previous students all work differently, there is no fixed way to teach! Instead, I tailor my lesson plans to suit my students needs, we will target areas where they most need to improve and the beauty of one to one lessons is that I, as a tutor, can focus solely on one student, meaning we can move at their own pace and any topic they struggle with, will have my undivided attention and we will not start learning another topic unless they have grasped the previous one.
For older students, GCSE and A level, I prefer to send my lesson plan over to them before the class so they can look through it and get a general grasp of the upcoming lesson and suitably prepare for it, this is extremely efficient as they can immediately tell me at the start what areas they did not understand and we can focus on that.
I was home-schooled through secondary school and GCSE with private tutors, so I have plenty of personal experience of what motivate students when they feel the lack of competition that exists in classrooms that naturally encourages students to push harder in studies.
