I have been a Science teacher, specialising in A level Chemistry, for more than 20 years. I have taught students of all abilities from special needs to Oxbridge candidates. My most recent post was 13 years at the local girls grammar school where I started as a classroom teacher, became Head of Chemistry and then Head of Science.

I am an experienced tutor, having successfully tutored students for AS and A2 Chemistry, GCSE Chemistry, Biology ,Physics and Maths as well as for the 11+ exams.

I am also an exam marker for GCSE Chemistry.

At present I am not working in a school and am therefore able to concentrate on my tuition students.


I believe the role of a tutor is to provide support to students in an unthreatening atmosphere so that they can gain confidence and reach their potential.

I am happy to tutor students at my home or to travel to you if that is more convenient.

I am available to tutor on a regular basis as well as one off revision sessions or holiday sessions.

My DBS certificate, references and qualification certificates will all be available to view at the initial meeting.

Experience: I have been running my own tuition business for the last 7 years. During this time I have successfully tutored students studying A level chemistry, GCSE maths, further maths, statistics, chemistry, biology and physics as well as KS3 science and maths.

I have also successfully prepared students for the 11+ Kent Test and the Dover Test.
