Laura

I am currently teaching Year 4 and have previously taught in Year 2 and Year 3, with experience in Year 6 on school placements.
I have tutored children from Year 1 to Year 7 and I have helped children prepare for their SATs and the 11 plus exam.
I am in my fourth year of teaching. I enjoy working with children and helping and encouraging them to make progress in their learning. I am friendly and smiley, with a good sense of humour and I am very patient. I use lots of positive praise as I want the children to feel proud of themselves for every little bit of progress they make. I am also a keen bookworm and I enjoy sharing this love of reading with the children I teach and tutor.

Availability: I am available during after school on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am also available Tuesday but that is my staff meeting day and sometimes the times can vary. I am available Thursday evenings after 6pm. I also can tutor at the weekends and I am happy to.

Experience: I am in my fourth year of teaching in a primary school, having also completed 3 years of university school placements and several school placements for work experience.
I have also helped to tutor Year 2 and Year 6 pupils after school 1:1 for their upcoming SATs, have tutored Year 1, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 pupils in the core subjects and I have helped Year 5 and 6 pupils prepare for the 11+ exam. I also have tutored a Year 7 pupil to help them settle into secondary school.
I have also worked with all ages at Barracudas Summer camp, teaching children new activities and helping them to learn through explore and play.
