Shyam, an Imperial College London graduate, has 5+ years experience providing support with 7+/11+ and Mathematics. His nurturing and organised style ignites an enthusiasm to learn and secures results.

As a young child I was on occasion labelled as a slow learner with limited ability to read or write. This label proved to be incorrect. How?

Well, it starts with inspirational mentors who developed my passion for learning. Gradually with persistence the blocks rotated into place, leading to scholarships at senior school and university.

It is this drive and enthusiasm that I aim to nurture in you, so as learning becomes enjoyable and fulfilling.

Having been in the exam room on hundreds of occasions I understand the tailored preparation that is required to achieve. To this end I view myself as a coach who is here to support your climb up the hill, by equipping you with the lifelong learning tools and techniques to underpin success.

Personally, I have achieved a Petroleum Geoscience Masters degree from Royal Holloway and an MSci in Geology and Geophysics from Imperial College London. My A/AS-Level’s include Mathematics (A), Physics (B), Geography (A), Further Mathematics (A) and Critical Thinking (A). These are coupled with A stars and A`s at GCSE.

The ultimate aim here is to develop your perseverance and bring the subjects to life so as a successful outcome follows.

I look forward to helping you excel:

• Tuition provided in a range of subjects from primary, through IGCSE/GCSE and onto Degree level;
• Tailored 7+/11+ assistance for independent and grammar school entrance. Including non-verbal, verbal, numerical reasoning, and English;
• Set additional practice tasks and past papers to reinforce taught sessions;
• Encourage questions and active learning;
• Provide regular feedback;
• Experienced working with students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs);
• Nurture independence, confidence, and growth.

Availability: I am currently taking bookings for regular weekly sessions, exam blocks and over the school holidays. Given high demand my availability is regularly updated on the calendar and is generally evenings and weekends.
