Nisha Vashdev

I was born and brought up in Spain. I studied Business Management and after got my CAP equivalent to QTS in the UK. I have been teaching English and Economics in Spain and currently teach Spanish at Challney High School for girls to Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y10.
I am also interested in teaching EAL.

Availability: I am available from Monday to Fridays from 9 am to 7pm.

Experience: In terms of my professional experience, I would like to highlight that I have been acquiring experiences in two different areas:

On the one hand, as a teacher at various schools such as St. Theresa Bilingual School where I taught Economics in Spanish and as a MFL teacher improving students English. In my previous roles I performed the following duties:

Supervised large groups of elementary students (30-40) on a daily basis, fully conducting the class.
Mentored and motivated difficult students, working one-on-one with several who had severe behavioural problems, raising their scores on average by one full letter grade.
Participated in the creation of hundreds of pages of unique and engaging educational materials, including daily lesson plans, weekly quizzes and tests, classroom games, and roleplays.

Additionally, I have been a tutor of the Canarian Unemployment Service Courses, teaching English, Accounts and Marketing courses all in Spanish. Moreover, I have also taught in various academies and thereafter companies such as Mapfre Insurance corporation and the Language Campus of the University of Las Palmas. I have been preparing kids teenagers and adults to succeed in the Cambridge ESOL University exams as a freelance tutor.

On the other hand in the Business administration area, working as an office manager where improved my Communication skills, obtained Computer proficiency, organized Office Procedures, gained training and supervisory experience in public relations and performed database maintenance. It was essential to ensure that the administrative systems ran smoothly and met the needs of students, parents and staff.
