Information about Beverley Ann
My name is Beverley. I am an experienced maths teacher of 25 years in Secondary Education. I was Head of Mathematics Faculty in two schools and Assistant HeadTeacher before I retired. When I retired from secondary teaching I became a part-time Lecturer at Liverpool Hope University and then moved into tutoring.
I am very familiar with all Exam boards and their specifications, including GCSE, Further GCSE and IGCSE. I also tutor pupils preparing for the 11+ exam.
My 1:1 tutoring is specifically tailored to the needs of my students.
During Lockdown, I tutored online using FaceTime and free collaborative software. It has been very successful and I have continued to do a mix of face to face teaching and online teaching. Whichever suites best.
At the moment I tutor Year 11 pupils at GCSE and IGCSE. I tutor years 7-10 pupils who wish to improve and exceed expectations with their maths in a structured lesson and have several pupils in years 5 and 6 at primary. I prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs exams through a combination of revision, new learning and practise SATs questions. I also teach pupils to prepare for the 11+ exam. Very exam focussed learning.

Beverley introduced the learning platform at the start which was valuable. Our 12 year old daughter has thoroughly enjoyed each session Bev has provided. Bev is engaging, consistent and gives feedback really well, we have been very impressed as was apprehensive with online tutoring but I need not to worry, our daughter has gained so much from each session.

Beverley has provided fantastic support for Oscar and increased his confidence in maths even in the first few weeks. Her dedication to establishing the best way to tackle the subject for the individual student has been great to see. My son enjoys the lessons and benefits from each session in developing an excellent grounding in Maths. My son has Dyslexia and Barbara was extremely helpful, professional and patient with him.
