I achieved a distinction in a Master`s degree in 20th and 21st Century Literature, and I also have an undergraduate degree in Politics. I read widely and possess a broad knowledge of language, literature, the Arts and current affairs.

I am naturally curious, a voracious learner and a keen teacher. I encourage free thinking and open debate. I have had several years experience helping students in their academic studies through proofreading and editing mock exams and essays.

The content of the sessions will be guided entirely by you. I will attempt to answer your questions, suggest further readings and explain complex and nuanced topics in an easily understandable way. I will provide suggestions for academic writing, essay structuring, and vocabulary and grammar.

In the Humanities and Social Sciences, independent thought is crucial for comprehension and understanding. I will encourage such thinking, and I will aim for both enjoyable and enlightening tutor sessions.
