Melissa

Hello My name is Melissa and I live in the south West. I am in my final year of Primary Teacher Training specialising in Early years. I am also a Teaching assistant in a reception class.
I am passionate about securing best outcomes for children. I treat each child as an individual, working from their interests. I continuously assess their progress and plan appropriate next steps. I am familiar with intervention schemes to help students catch up.
I enjoy my job and take pride in delivering fun play-based lessons. I am patient, caring and have excellent time keeping skills and always willing to go the extra mile for children`s learning and development.
I am looking to tutor children who may need extra help with their phonics, reading, maths or any primary foundation subjects support including Science. I can also support EAL children learn English and progress in other subjects they may struggle with.

I am happy to support and tutor children in Early Years, KS1. I am willing to do short term or one off bookings while schools may be closed in your tier or your child is isolating.

Experience: I have over 6 years` experience teaching children from 3 - 11. I have experience in catching up children to allow them to meet their outcomes. I have experience tutoring one-to-one in English and extensive experience across the Early Years and Primary curriculum. I have been a SENCO and I have worked with many children with additional needs.
