I am an enthusiastic language teacher with a PhD in linguistics, MA in Arabic Translation, as well as a CELTA teaching certificate.

My lessons are extremely focused and geared to the students` level and needs (e.g. pronunciation, vocabulary building, grammar etc).


Urdu/Hindi:

Urdu and Hindi are virtually the same language, the main difference being the scri pt and literary style. I teach both the Urdu (Persian/Arabic) as well as Devanagari (Sanskrit) scri pts. For those who already have an intermediate level of Urdu, I would offer more specialised reading and/or conversation classes such as media/newspaper Urdu, poetry, literature etc.

Arabic:

I teach Modern Standard Arabic to beginning and intermediate level learners. I can offer more advance, media Arabic classes. I could also introduce students to Colloquial Egyptian as well as Levantine Arabic.

English as a Foreign language (EFL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP):

I have extensive experience training non-native students in English Pronunciation as well as conversation. I have also taught English for Academic Purposes and am familiar with the conventional differences between academic styles in several different cultures.
