Information about Tania
I am a qualified (MA Education QTS) and experienced primary school teacher, who has been graded “outstanding”. Currently, I am working as a full-time teacher. I also tutor through other sources and get booked solid very quickly, I follow the rule first come first served so get in touch with me ASAP. I have a wealth of 15 years of teaching experience across all primary stages. I have been an acting head teacher, English and Maths coordinator in my previous positions. Teaching is a strong vocation for me and I love the buzz I get when I feel I have inspired my students.
I am also trained and experienced in teaching of Phonics and Reading to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
I am available for face to face and online tutoring.
Availability: Weekdays Monday to Friday 4pm - 8pm
Saturday and Sunday 10am - 6pm
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am experienced in preparation, administration and marking of Year 2 and Year 6 SATs. Apart from my classroom expertise, I had been tutoring on one to one basis for 10 years and absolutely loved it.
Furthermore, I offer tutoring for 11 Plus Entrance Exams for Grammar and Independent schools. I deliver highly specialised and expert tutoring for 11+, 7+ and 8+ examinations including English, Maths, NVR and VR for highly selective schools. I develop a master plan for the child, bridge the gaps in the learning and build upon their strengths in various areas of 11+ exams.
Additionally, as a published poet, I also tutor Creative Writing for 11 Plus and primary curriculum.

Our son enjoyed Tania’s lessons and made exceptional progress towards his 11+. He particularly struggled with NVR and VR, after some one to one sessions, he began to show real improvement. Tania has been very flexible about the time she taught our son, she didn’t finish the lesson until our son understood the concept, we totally felt our son is in good hands. By the time of his exam he has overcome his lack of confidence. With Tania’s help, he has received offer from his top choice school. We highly recommend her tutoring.

Tania is one of the most hard working and invested teacher I have ever come across. She really cares about her students. She has been working with my daughter since July 2021. At the start of our journey, I realised we were too late to start for my daughter’s 11 plus exam prep. But Tania proved me wrong, my daughter is not only doing really well in her practice exams, but, she has been performing really well in her class tests. Tania has miraculously managed to cover most of year 5 and 6 syllabus with her, in a very short period of time. I think it is mainly because, she is not always clock watching. I am sure she is very busy, however, if she has time she would spend as much time as needed to clear the concepts for my daughter. We are so lucky to have found her on TutorHunt.
