I am an English and Modern Foreign Languages teacher from County Durham, UK.󠁧;

I have been working as a foreign languages teacher for over 13 years in schools in England. I have helped many students of all abilities achieve their language goals whilst making language learning fun, rewarding and memorable. I am a native speaker of English and speak slowly, with a neutral British accent. I speak French, German and Spanish so I know the challenges learners can face when learning a foreign language.

I am interested in different languages and cultures. I have lived in Germany, France, Mallorca and Spain. I can offer my students an experienced, friendly and professional teacher. I can help every student achieve their language goals by personalising the lesson. I use many hand signs, actions, songs, pictures, props and games to strengthen learning and make learning enjoyable. My hobbies include travelling, playing the guitar and rock climbing.

Availability: I am available Monday to Sunday so I am very flexible with my schedule.

Experience: Experienced UK secondary-trained teacher with QTS of German, Spanish, French and ESOL with an excellent track record in primary and secondary education. Possesses strong grasp of pedagogy, with the aim to develop students` spontaneous target language production in MFL from KS1 to KS4. Has been graded “Outstanding” in MFL teaching (2013-2017) by Ofsted. Thirteen years in MFL teaching with over six years in secondary schools and five years in middle/ primary school. Experience of teaching GCSE German, French, Spanish as well as experience of KS1-3 MFL. Certified ESOL teacher.
