Information about Sophia

Born in London, went to Kensington Prep and then to boarding school in Worcestershire. After taking A-Levels in English, Latin, History and Art History I took a gap year and travelled in Africa, South East Asia and India. I studied my primary degree at Trinity College Dublin, and then went on to do a masters in English Literature at Edinburgh University. Since moving to London I have been involved with a number of children`s literacy charities.

Availability: Available over the summer for English GCSE and A Level tutoring sessions and mini-intensives.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: As a tutor I have specialised in English with the vast majority of my students needing help with English in Y9, Y10 & Y11. In addition I have helped younger students for entrance examinations to competitive schools in London, and older students doing AS and A Level.
I have 3 years of experience across all the different boards. I have an especially large amount of experience with iGCSE.

Sophia is a wonderful tutor who is brilliant at her subject and even better with my son! Goes that little bit further for her students. Lots of patience, lots of knowledge, calm presence - highly recommended.
