I am a highly experienced, effective and patient teacher, experienced in working 1-2-1 and with small groups. My SEND experience and expertise means that I can offer support and effective teaching to all students, even those who may experience difficulties with their learning and who are struggling in mainstream education.
Availability: Monday to Friday after 4pm during term time and also possibly at weekends and during school holidays, subject to individual tutees` needs and availability.

Experience: I have 25 years of teaching experience, mainly in mainstream secondary schools but also within specialist SEND and Inclusion settings. My subject specialisms are History and English but I am also able to teach Geography and R.E.
I have specialised in a variety of SEND roles for 20 years and have wide experience of working with students with a range of SEND needs (including dyslexia, dyspraxia, SpLD, speech and language, autism, ASD, ADHD, OCD, social communication needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.) I have been a SENCO as well as a specialist SEND and Literacy teacher and I am proud of my ability to help my students overcome barriers to learning.
