I’m Alex and I currently work full time at William Ellis School as Student Engagement Officer. Alongside acting as a student councilor and mentor, my role involves working either one-on-one or in small groups with students in Maths, English & the Sciences.

Prior to my time there, I graduated from Bristol University in a BSc in Mathematics & Philosophy, where I focused primarily on pure maths and logic. I also served as Head Boy of Camden School for Girls Sixth Form, involving myself in a selection of projects with both my peers and students in the main school.

For a long time now, it has been a central focus of mine to work alongside students, aiming to develop their understanding in those areas that I myself find so engaging.

Experience: I began tutoring Maths in Sixth Form, and have tutored professionally throughout the years that followed. In this time I have worked with students of a range of abilities, across primary school to GCSE level.

Moreover, the past two years working at William Ellis have given me invaluable experience helping students through years 7 to 11 to grasp the fundamental elements of Maths and the other core subjects.
