Dhanya

Hello! My name is Dhanya and I am a Doctor, working in Chester at the moment.

Having only recently completed by Alevels, I am well in touch with the syllabus and the style of exam questions. I recognise every individual learns differently so will aim to tailor to their needs. I hope my enthusiasm for the subjects will help make the sessions as enjoyable and helpful as possible.

With regards to the Medicine application process, I can also provide advice regarding interview preparation and personal statements.

I have 11 GCSE`s – all A/A*s, and 3 A levels in Biology (A), Chemistry (A), and Psychology (A).

My approach to tutoring would be a balance of the following:
- Going through past/practice papers with a focus on exam technique
- Revisiting `core` content regularly with room to go into more depth in topics of interest to the student
- Refining learning techniques/styles and how to apply these in any context

Experience: - I have been tutoring privately since 2016 and have found helping students achieve their potential hugely rewarding.
- Alongside my Alevels, I worked as a Kumon classroom assistant, tutoring young children on Maths and English which polished my communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, I helped younger students with reading during school.
- I am a student mentor for first year medical students, helping them with any issues they may have whilst settling into university.
- Over the course of this summer, I worked at an international summer school with children aged between 13-17 and assisted in teaching english as a foreign language.
