Information about Danat

Recent graduate from University College London [UCL] with a Master`s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
I have achieved the highest A-level percentage mark for maths out of my cohort in school.

Degree: MEng Mechanical Engineering [69%, 2.1 with honours]
A Level Grades: Maths [A*], Physics [A], Russian [A]
Notable GCSE Grades: Maths [A], Science [A], Additional Science [A]

A little bit about my journey through school: I was in the accelerated set for science which meant I had to take my science GCSE`s a year early in Year 9. Having achieved C,D,D for Physics, Biology and Chemistry respectively, I felt demotivated and it meant I had to work extra hard in year 10 & 11 to balance out these grades. Luckily, the GCSE system changed and my results were scrapped - however I wanted to prove to myself that I am more than capable of achieving great results for these GCSE`s. When I took the same exam at the end of year 11, I achieved A*,A,A for the same subjects.

From my own experience in school, I have come to realise that "a given task is not difficult, what makes it difficult is the way you approach it" therefore my mission is to instil this belief into young children who are struggling with Maths or Physics. I believe that there is a mental block and a dislike towards certain subjects by certain children, but this can be overcame - and I know this from personal experience.

I look forward to share my school & university experience with the younger generation. My aim will be to guide them to achieve the same achievements that I achieved - and perhaps even exceed them.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: Throughout my time in University I have tutored my younger sisters maths. We have seen great results with her, having jumped up 2 sets and achieved 15% higher test results.
