Information about Laura

I am a passionate and reliable tutor with well-rounded knowledge, education and experience. From my work in theatre and creative learning, I am able to tailor my approach to ensure the student gets the most out of their education.

I understand that many students find English and Maths especially difficult and can quickly become bored by the challenging nature of the subjects. That is why I believe in an active and energetic approach.
Most importantly, I understand that each student has different needs and objectives. Having an initial consultation with the student and their parents/guardians before starting a course of learning is vital for setting appropriate goals and anticipating challenges. I like to maintain feedback throughout the teaching process to ensure the lessons remain effective and enjoyable.

Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Willing to travel: 1 miles

Experience: I have a MA in Creative Producing (Theatre), BA(Hons) degree in Liberal Arts (studying Drama, Film and Geography) and 4 A Levels (Geography, Drama, Chemistry and Maths). I received high grades for both my MA and BA(Hons) degrees and achieved full marks in my Geography A Level. Whilst following my ambitions to be a theatre producer, I was struck by how much I enjoy education and working with young adults. I feel that education is not always accessible to everyone, and I hope to change this through tutoring and teaching others.

I have been tutoring my younger siblings for many years now, and currently deliver theatre-based workshops to 11-13 year olds. I also run a theatre company which provides engagement for young people (14-19).
