I am a confident, highly enthusiastic and experienced teacher (within both the state and private sectors of education, KS1 & 2). Over the years, I have been consistently rated as an ‘Outstanding’ teacher, who receives an overwhelming gratification in helping children from all demographics to find a love for learning. I pride myself on continually maximising students` progress: providing children with a teaching experience which encourages independence, creativity and self-belief. Currently, I work at a distinguished private school where children have recently been accepted by several highly prestigious, City of London independent secondary schools and grammars. Here I assist not only in passing complex entrance exams, but also in advising on the selection process (such as interviews) and correct etiquette.
My values as a teacher thoroughly reflect my tutoring pedagogy; in order for children to flourish, they must enjoy having me as their mentor, whilst also – and more importantly – taking pride in succeeding academically. With 7 years experience as a successful specialist 11+ tutor, I aim to immediately locate children’s weaker areas within the initial session. After meticulous analysis and evaluation of a child’s prior learning and current academic ability, I build tailored plans to best suit an individual. To enhance this further, I continually track progress in all areas, leading to a very clear picture of what is needed in order to invariably advance a child’s learning. Formally lead tutor within a successful West London tutoring company, I can provide fantastic references from a large array of highly satisfied parents and past employers. Furthermore, all resources for sessions will be provided and extra ‘Home Learning’ resources such as tests can be given to supplement the child’s learning process.
