Primary school teacher and tutor for 25 years, working with all abilities including SEN. I also tutor for 11+ (GL and CEM) and entrance exams. I am a qualified Numbers Count Teacher and I have helped many children who struggle with maths in particular. Experience with SATS booster groups as well as early years phonics. I have taught from Nursery up to year 8 and currently teach in year 6 in a local primary school.

Availability: Any time in school holidays and evenings and weekends in term time.

Experience: I am a primary school teacher of 25 years and have experience of teaching across the whole age range 3-11. I have taught in year 1 teaching for the phonics test and in year 2 and 6 working towards the SATS tests. I work both with children with SEN and those who are gifted and talented. I organise booster groups to cater for all needs.
My tutoring work has included helping children of all abilities including SEN. I am an experience tutor for independent school entrance exams and 11+. My focus is verbal and non-verbal reasoning (GL and CEM), english, creative writing skills, reading comprehension and maths.
I love working 1:1 with children as this enables the work to be tailored immediately to their individual needs. My results have been excellent with many children entering their chosen grammar or private school and others making huge progress as their gaps are identified and filled.
Why me? I am flexible and have lots of experience as well as still working in a local primary school so keeping up to date with all the latest resources and methods.
I have a passion for helping children to reach their potential and feel it is a luxury to be able to work 1:1 with them whilst tutoring.
