Information about Julia

I am calm, friendly and approachable and am able to quickly build rapport with students of all ages.

I enjoy working with students, and I get enormous pleasure when at the end of lesson they are smiling and feeling great that they have achieved something and had some fun doing so.

I have 3 years experience of 1:1 tutoring in Maths for KS3 and GCSE. I particularly enjoy working with learners who find basic Maths difficult and have had great success with lower achieving students.

I enjoy travelling, photography and singing in two community choirs. I am also a keen volunteer.

Julia has been tutoring my two daughters, who both have learning challenges, for the past month. She is patient and approachable, and my daughters like her very much. She is organized and prepares well for their lessons. I can definitely recommend Julia!

Julia is tutoring my twin daughters for GCSE maths. They say she explains things very well and they are finding the sessions beneficial. They are finding it very useful going over topics they`ve found difficult in lessons as she is happy to go at their own pace and is very patient. This is really helping them.

Julia has been tutoring my son in preparation for GCSE maths for 7 months now- we wanted him to increase his confidence in this subject so that he didn`t dread doing it at school. However, he has achieved so much more than that- so far he has improved from a G grade to a D.... Julia has been firm and very very patient with him, he comes out of her lessons feeling like he can `do` maths which is an unbelievable change for him- we are extremely grateful.
