I am an experienced science teacher with a proven track record of improving the attainment and the progress of my pupils, I am an approachable, dynamic and creative individual with a passion for science and for helping others succeed. I have an extensive knowledge of the curriculum so I can help with any missed topics or work ahead on new topics.
I have great communication skills and will strive to help you understand concepts you find difficult, and embed those that you find easy. I know how to help you to get the most out of your learning, both with knowledge and learning/revision skills.
I am proud to say that many of the students I have taught over the years have gone on to study science based degrees, including medicine, pharmacy and dentistry. I have also trained science teachers and delivered lectures to degree level biochemistry. Experience: I have been teaching for more than 8 years now and I have spent this time teaching in schools in Manchester. I can help with all science disciplines to GCSE and Chemistry to A level. Additional to my role as a teacher, I have also been a science key stage three coordinator which has allowed me to develop further and detailed knowledge of the curriculum and a head of year at a time where my students were engaging in their options choices.
I am also a GCSE examiner for the exam board AQA which has given me a further insight into the level of response required for exam questions.
My experience as a classroom teacher will allow me to design your tutoring sessions specifically to your needs, and my experience as an examiner will allow me to develop your exam technique further.
