Looking for additional support for my 7 year old (just finished year 2) who is deemed to be a year or more behind in speaking/listening/comprehension and a little behind in maths/science. My main concern is her barrier to learning due to speech and language delay as she finds it hard to grasp a task and interact in the classroom and with her peers, although a very happy, easy-going child with no behavioural issues.

I realise the transition to year 3 will be a big step for her, given she is already behind in a lot of areas and believe additional support outside school may hopefully help to bridge this gap. At the same time, I do not wish to overload her schedule. She does have a fair bit of additional support at school but one-to-one in a class of 30 can be limited, obviously.

Availability: Weekends can be tricky as other commitments (sports etc)although may be available for part-weekends,with juggling.
There is some time after school, although when I work my daughter attends after-school club with a childminder. However we usually have one, possibly 2 afternoons or part-afternoons free a week to accomodate extra-curricular activities, including any future tuition.
