Hi there! I`m Isabella, a recent English and Theatre Studies BA graduate from the University of Warwick seeking to provide tutoring in English Literature and Language during my year out, before I embark on the next stage of my own learning journey, an MSt in English at Oxford.
Though this is my first foray as a formal tutor, I have been informally tutoring peers and younger students throughout my straight A* English career, and have completed multiple Continued Professional Development tutoring courses in order to strengthen my teaching knowledge. I am also DBS-checked and certified in safeguarding children in learning contexts.

I provide one-to-one in-person and online tuition in English for 11+, GSCE, A-Level and Secondary school students. My teaching approach is tailored to my students` individual needs, goals and strengths, employing the most up-to-date education research to make learning engaging and effective, as well as helping to build revision and independent learning skills for life. Having just finished my own undergraduate degree in the midst of the pandemic, I know the massive toll this has taken on students of all levels, and having experienced online learning as both teacher and student, I`m well aware of its potential issues, and the best strategies to make the digital experience interactive and fun.

I offer a variety of ways to structure your tutoring experience. Along with an individually-tailored programme matched to your personal goals, I can also provide shorter programs dedicated to revision, exam preparation, coursework skills, and specific set texts. In addition, I can offer more generalised sessions focusing on essay-writing technique for all essay-based assessment subjects, such as History, Religious Studies, Drama, Politics, or EPQ dissertations. I also offer specific "Shakespeare Masterclasses" for GSCE and A-Level - my dual-honours degree in Shakespeare`s home county means that this is one of my specialities!
