I am a qualified teacher of Mathematics who started teaching in 2015. Before teaching I graduated from the University of Manchester with a masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
As well as teaching mathematics I am KS3 co-ordinator of Maths at my current workplace. I have considerable experience of teaching and assessing students work at secondary school level on both Higher and Foundation tier.

As a tutor I have a lot of experience working with pupils to improve grades, confidence and fill in gaps in subject knowledge.

I run my tuition lessons by first making my students do a 5 minute retrieval task to ensure previously taught topics are remembered. I then test understanding of pre-requisite topics and address misconceptions before going on to the main topic I intend to teach.

In my current workplace we assess using the Edexcel specification. I am a GCSE examiner for Edexcel. I do also have experience tutoring pupils who have studied AQA and OCR exam boards.

Availability: I am available to tutor on weekends. I am also available on weekday evenings after 5pm.
